BLIND FAITH Blind Faith (Polydor 583 059) Eric Clapton RARE UK 1st Pressing EX+
RARE UK first pressing of Blind Faith`s eponymously-titled one-aand-only album "Blind Faith" on Polydor Records (August 1969).
"There is really not much else that can be said about this album. It is competent; it is occasionally exciting; but it is nothing new, and it is nothing that could not have been pulled off by a score of "lesser" groups. (...) I hope that Blind Faith will have a longer life together than Cream or Traffic. I wish them well. But somehow, deep inside, I know that I really don`t care much either way." - Lester Bangs in Rolling Stone Magazine, September 1969.
GRADING:
EX COVER with a bit of allround wear. Please see photos for details.
- Original first-pressing unlaminated, lightly textured gatefold sleeve. "Printed and made by MacNeill Press".
- A number of creases to the spine, front and back, as shown.
- Small scuff from price sticker removal (at top, right).
- Small tear on rear sleeve, right bottom corner.
- Minimal corner wear to front sleeve corners only.
- Also includes the original polylined inner sleeve in undamaged EX+ condition.
EX+ to MINT- RECORD with absolutely minimal signs of previous use.
- Very lightly played vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- A few lightest hairlines on both sides, from sleeve removal only.
- A single, tiny nick (1 mm long; in "Do What You Like") causes a dozen light clicks. This is the only thing to fault and prevents this lp from being a full MINT-.
- Original UK first pressing Polydor Records labels with no visible spindle wear at all.
- Side Two shows minor "clouding" to the vinyl, from an all-too-quick cooling process. Please see appropriate photo. This clouding is however absolutely inaudible.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "583059 A//1 ? 420 - 1 1" and "583059 B//1 ? 420 - 1 1".
- This record is certified to be an original, very first UK pressing of "Blind Faith", released in August 1969.
