PORKY and PECKO engraved in the run-out grooves!!
This is a very rare FIRST PRESS of this classic fourth Sabbath album. It comes complete with the attached inner booklet and inner swirl sleeve!!!
Vinyl: EX condition. Only minor wispy hairlines, together with a couple of very minor scuff marks can be detected on side A, and these are very small indeed, hard to spot and they do not affect the replay. Side B again has very minor scuff marks which do not affect play. The vinyl has a beautiful glossy lustre and has been VERY wll looked after.
I have played this from beginning to end and the audio is simply BREATHTAKING!!! This George Peckham master is so much better than any subsequent re-issue and I've heard them all! A truly beautiful FULL sound!!! There are no jumps, or skips and the lovely weighty vinyl lies flat and true on the turntable. There is minimal background noise (only a little static between tracks and in the VERY infrequent quiet bits!) I played this on my Technics SL-D202 turntable with a Panasonic cartridge and this album, where the Sabs started to spread their wings a little musically, really did deliver.
The gatefold sleeve is matt, printed by Howards Printers, Slough. It has the inner picture booklet still attached. The inner sleeve and booklet are Near Mint! NO creases! Small edge "bumps", very minor, hardly noticeable. No writing and No marks. NO ringwear. Spine is fully legible. Small price sticker glue residue, to right top corner of rear face. The opening is still very crisp.
A very well kept copy.
