 VINYL [AUDIO]: A= VG++..plays w/few light 'ticks' - most of them at the quietest and short time's parts. VINYL [AUDIO]: B= EX+..plays w/very few light random ticks & very little-too light surface noise mostly--between the tracks  Both vinyl's sides play w/NO jumps or sticks,NO loud crackles, NO nasty things 
VINYL [VISUAL]: = VG. Still retains a nice gloss to it..Has some feelable scratches on both sides app 1/2 a dozen. & quite a few hairlines/in & out lines.   COVER [GATEFOLD]: VG.There are no splits rips or tears, slight ringwear & rubbing, edgwear, corner wear, few small edge creases.There is sticker removal mark to the rear. Inside the gatefold is clean with only a handfull of tiny wear/marks.Spine has wear & is about 50% Readable.This sleeve is 45 years old & still does the job it was made for

THE INNER
Original date coded (0970) Vertigo Swirl  inner sleeve  Conservatively graded at  VG condition.  Lightly creased there is NO writing and NO tears.  There are NO splits to the sides or bottom.There is some age discolouration as these 40 year old inners always have, but on the whole its a great inner sleeve.
Early Pressing of BLACK SABBATH PARANOID,on the VERTIGO labels with  RARE UN LAMINATED Cover. This rare pressing also has only two gaps between tracks on side 2. All later pressings have three.

T1.Electric Funeral. [ Plays through fine quite heavy crackle more evident in quieter parts. ]
T2. Hand of Doom. [ Crackle & tics in qieter parts of track that aside plays fine.] 
T3. Rat Salad. [ Plays fine, crackle less evident.]

WOW. What an album ! Just played it right through & I`d forgot how much an influence this album really was. As I`ve mentioned already there is background crackle right through But there NO Sticks,or Skips.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
