You are bidding on a mega rare Nr Mint fully complete 1971 UK 1Y//2Y Vertigo Swirl 1st pressing of ‘Master of Reality’ by Black Sabbath. Cat No. 6360 050. It is FULLY COMPLETE with 1st press laminated box sleeve 1st press poster and 1st press black-backed poly-lined Vertigo swirl inner! This is the earliest possible matrix you will ever see. There are very few 1Y//2Y pressings in existence, and possibly none others in unplayed condition! You will never find a better example of this rare UK 1st pressing! This is a beautiful Nr Mint Unplayed example with no scratches, or marks anywhere not even hairlines. It has all the beautiful deep shine of a record that was just pressed yesterday. Record easily grades as Nr Mint. Centre labels are Nr Mint with NO spindle lines or blemished at all! Again, it looks like this was made yesterday!

Original 1st press laminated box sleeve is also in stunning condition. With crystal clear laminate and nice sharp edges. The box was reinforced a long time ago with 12” card inners to keep its shape and it has preserved it beautifully! No blemished anywhere in this sleeve save for the smallest occasional laminate crease. A superb example. There can only be a few 1st press box cover left in this shape today. Easily grades as Excellent. The poster if perfect and looks like it has never been folded out. Crisp and flat with not pin-holes of blemishes of any kind. It is easily Nr Mint! The original Poly Lined Swirl inner is the correct black-backed variant that was released with this album. Not the more common white backed swirl that Vertigo used for the majority of its releases. It is also a solid Nr Mint with no flaws at all. Perfect.  Record will come shipped in a replacement poly-lined inner to protect the original from knifing etc during transit.

A truly pristine example of one of the rarest and most sought-after Black Sabbath albums. A prog masterpiece!

Over the coming year or two I will be selling a large portion of my massive record collection. And it will all be on beautiful vinyl! I have been a fastidious collector and all my vinyl will either be in mint unplayed condition or very close. All records have been professionally stored upright in a clean non smoking environment.  Individual descriptions will be given with each record listed. Most of my collection up for sale will be UK & U.S. 1st pressings (with some very cool rare & obscure Oz rarities thrown in too). Music will consist mainly of rare Punk, Rock, Indie/Alternative, with some rare Folk, Psych, Blues & Prog too. There will be hundreds of 1st pressings, test pressings, promos, signed records and probably a bit of rare memorabilia (if I can part with it!) Australia Post prices are extortionate!  I am making it as cheap as absolutely possible. In the interests of keeping a level playing field & due to these outrageous Australian Mail postage charges I will in fact be ending up significantly out of pocket from what I charge you, even more so once packaging is factored in.  I hope the quality and rarity of the records I will be offering will be incentive enough for you to want to bid, and remember I will be happy to offer discounts on multiple purchases. Shipping costs will be combined for multiple purchases making it cheaper.  All records that are not factory sealed will be shipped with record(s) & inner sleeve packaged outside of the outer sleeve to protect against knifing of the jacket. Stiffeners will be added to reinforce the package, corners will be protected from scuffing & bending.
