Description

I am an original member of the SCDDJA (Southern California Disco DJ Association) (#35) and personally obtained, played, and stored these records.  All records have been stored in crates on their end, they have never laid flat for more than a minute or two.  They have never been in anyone else's possession.  Most have been played less than 5 times, and many only once or never, which makes most of them pristine.  If a record was top 10 and I only had one or two copies, it probably has had the shit played out of it, and I will let you know.  All records are in their original liner and jacket unless otherwise noted. A few jackets have been lost or destroyed, and those records are in liners only.  I began spinning in 1974 and continued until 1982, then went to Country, yep, I did.  If you would like more pics of any record, liner, or sleeve, please e-mail me, and I will try to accomodate you.  I will rate records, liners, and sleeves to the best of my ability via visual observation.  I will not remove records from their liner/sleeve more than once for initial observation unless further photos are requested, and I will not remove records in sealed liners.  If you're looking for very good quality disco material, please keep checking my site, as I will be listing many over the next year.   I sincerely hope all my collection finds a good home, and I thank you for looking.

**GRADING SCALE (COURTESY OF GOLD MINE):

MINT  (M)    ---------------------- It should appear to be perfect. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains, labels or writing, tears or splits. Mint means perfect.

NEAR MINT (NM)  --------------- Otherwise mint but has one or two tiny inconsequential flaws that do not affect play. Covers should be close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident: slight ring-wear, minor denting to a corner, or writing on the cover should all be noted properly.

VERY GOOD PLUS  (VG++) ---- The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Not too far from perfect. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or the vinyl or some of the original luster may be lost. A slight scratch that did notaffect play would be acceptably VG+ for most collectors.

VERY GOOD   (VG)   ----------- Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience. Usually a cover is VG when one or two of these problems are evident: ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains, etc.

GOOD  (G) ---------------------- Well played with little luster and significant surface noise. Despite defects, record should still play all the way through without skipping. Several cover flaws will be apparent, but should not obliterate the artwork.

POOR  (P) ---------------------- Any record or cover that does not qualify for the above "Good" grading should be seen as Poor. Several cover flaws.
