Description

This auction is for an old fashioned Commodore album “BILLIE HOLLIDAY” it contains three of four 78 rpm records, the cover of the album has nice graphics and is also marked “COMMODORE RECORDS” and the cover art is signed “John De Vries”.  The first record is dated March 1944 and features BILLIE HOLIDAY and the EDDIE HEYWOOD TRIO the song on one side is “SHE’S FUNNY THAT WAY”, the other side is “HOW AM I TO KNOW”.  The second record is also dated March 1944 and also features BILLIE HOLIDAY and the EDDIE HEYWOOD TRIO and the song on one side is “LOVER COME BACK TO ME”, the other side is “ANATOLE OF PARIS” I COVER THE WATERFRONT”.  The third record is DATED April 1944 and features BILLIE HOLIDAY and her Orchestra” the song on one side is “I’LL BE SEEING YOU”, the other side is “I’LL GET BY”.  The fourth album jacket sleeve is empty.  I am not a record collector nor do I have any way to listen to these but these records are not cracked or chipped, they do not seem to have large scratches or other obvious damages beyond what might be expected from 74 year old vinyl.  The album and records also make fine display collectibles.

ABOUT OUR LISTINGS: Please note that we buy and sell items as a hobby. While we try to be as educated as possible about our listings, we are not experts. Nearly all of our items are vintage and will, of course, show some normal wear and tear. We make every effort to describe them as accurately as possible. If we should somehow miss something, please contact us for a resolution.

Shipping Costs - I do not pack items until each is sold. Therefore, shipping costs are a close estimate - with an allowance for the size and weight. Actual cost may be more or less. We almost never break even on shipping but for a small business, this is the easiest process. If you have a concern, please contact me for a resolution. Please note that Ebay and Paypal charge on both final price AND shipping costs. This plus the rise in carrier charges account for our shipping charges.

International Sales - Please contact us for shipping quotes for international sales. We ship USPS first class international no insurance unless otherwise requested by the buyer. We are not responsible for duty fees on international sales.
