Description
Artist: BILL EVANS TRIO
Title: “Portrait In Jazz”
Label: RIVERSIDE. Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl. Label is “large” blue with silver text, does not have deep groove. Catalog number is RLP 12-315.
Year: session date: December 1959.
Personnel: Bill Evans – piano; Scott LaFaro – bass; Paul Motion - drums.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl retains 100% of original gloss, has been played a small number of times and handled with care. Grades nice VG+ to VG++ with a couple minor hairline scuffs, plays closer to VG++. There are a few soft tics, but no serious marks or problems. Fidelity is superb, as you can hear in the accompanying sound clip. Labels are clean. A very fine playing copy.
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG+ with no major problems. Front artwork is clean with some minor traces of surface wear just beginning to appear. Bottom and top seams both show some minor wear, also there are wear spots at the corners. Reverse has darkened a bit with age but is overall very clean with no writing, stickers, or other problems. Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the great sounding disc. Address on reverse is “235 West 46th Street, New York 36, N. Y.”
