Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
RARE Riverside STEREO flat edge vinyl LP RLP 1162 - released 1959
NM vinyl retains newish sheen and gloss - no play or handling marks. May -or may not- have been played once prior. Play test on NAD C555 turntable revealed mostly rich, luminous sound. I detected one or two vinyl inherent isolated light clicks on one track and a modicum of occasional light surface. The laminated cover is a strong VG+. There is shelf wear along the lower seam, small wear nicks upper and lower spine, small stub lower right corner, and a stamp sized upper cover tear where it appears a sticker was removed (see photo). Light shelf wear.
