  HI Folks---you are looking at a super and lovely rare album for auction this week. I am sure you know all about it if you are searching for it..... It is a limited edition and features the "direct to disc" recording technology.   On the  M&K RealTime label, it was recorded 1978 in Hollywood, CA., ...catalog # RT-101.  Both sleeve and vinyl are in most lovely shape......i will say a strong VG+ only because of the little bit of corner bendwear visible in the foto at the top left. At top right and less visible, is also a teeny tiny bit of that same kind of bendwear. Otherwise, the gatefold cover is almost Near Mint.   The vinyl is also getting a VG+ grading from me due to the fact that on each side, there is a lite superficial surface mark that does NOT affect play at all--you cannot hear it, but it is visibly there and so for that, i cannot give it a NM grading as i would otherwise do--as this record plays and sounds perfect/like new :)   Below my shipping rates are the song titles and a review i found.

Review: This is the famous Ken Kreisel’s M&K RealTime Records For Duke performed by Bill Berry and his Duke Ellington All-Stars. This is a Direct-To-Disc LP produced in 1978 is considered by most audiophiles worldwide to be one of the top 10 finest recordings ever made. This album features a true all-star lineup including members of the original Duke Ellington Orchestra performing standards in the Ellington tradition. Each artist solos in this heartfelt tribute session. The harmony of “Mood Indigo” serves as a strong reminder of how each member of Duke Ellington’s orchestra was allowed his own say. Marshal Royal lifts spirits with his bouncing alto attitude. His presence was always “just what the doctor ordered.” Nat Pierce adds his own radiant view of harmonic interpretation.
Embellishing alongside Royal on “I Got it Bad,” the pianist creates an aural landscape suitable for framing. Ray Brown and Frank Capp provide a natural rhythmic complement for the session and stretch out a little. Scott Hamilton’s suave tenor voice pervades with a relaxed compassion. He and Bill Berry offer individual interpretations, but firmly within the scope of familiar Ellington territory. All except Hamilton had worked with Duke Ellington; Berry, Woodman and Royal had been members of the famed orchestra. These all-stars understood the music on a personal level.
As an LP cut direct to lacquer, this session is just a little over a half hour long. However, it’s one of those rare albums that you can enjoy over and over without losing your smile.
This has been heralded as the best direct-to-disc recording of 1978. The album is also being recognized world-wide as containing some of the finest jazz music ever recorded. Features eight of Ellington’s best tunes.
