BEN FOLDS FIVE ?Jackson Cannery 7" Single (RARE - Only 500 made) Recorded March 25, 1994
Played once in 1994. Been in the sleeve ever since.
This is the first commercially available Ben Folds Five release in any format.

  • The record sleeve itself is wonderfully homemade.  It’s not even a real sleeve in the conventional sense, more like a piece of photocopied paper that was wrapped around the vinyl.
  • The record sleeve is totally analogue, it looks like it was created entirely with scissors, paper, some pens and some photographs.  You can even see where the various cut-out elements were held together with sticky tape.
  • Trivia: the lady playing the bongos on the cover is Ben Fold’s mother (or ‘mom’).
  • What we see with this release is the origins or the iconic Ben Folds Five logo.  It appears on both the front and rear of the cover.
