Description
If you are reading this then you are aware of the history of the Denis-Roosevelt expedition in 1934-35 plus the rarity of the contents and Album cover. These recordings include the first music ever recorded of the Mangabetu and Tutsi (Watusi) peoples. The soundtracks were released as commercial recordings, and the movie material, from the Congo and the Sahara were used for Wheels Across Africa (1936), and Dark Rapture in 1938. The records are in excellent condition. Sleeves are sturdy and have no tears. the album is unique in that it has the actual name of the film "Dark Rapture" on its cover. The spine is sturdy with some light stains. There is markings on the cover as well. Enclosed are 2 (1 extra) inserts that came with the record set.
