Up for sale on this No Reserve auction is a nice specimen of the rare, early Beatles lp, "The Beatles vs The Four Seasons (Vee Jay DX 30). I think this is the mono version. I am not a professional grader of records, so any picky buyers who are into the minutia of the various grading systems listen carefully. I will describe what I see and hear honestly. If you have any questions I didn't cover, email me first before bidding. Both discs are clean and retain most of original gloss. There are the usual light scratches, but nothing major. I played this on my turntable to check it out and it played fine with only some ocassional light popping. That may be due to my old needle, so it might play even better on a nicer system. The labels are clean with sharp colors with no writing. I would guess these would grade a VG+ at the very minimum, but that's only my guess. The cover shows very little ring wear on the front, and none on the back. Inside gatefold cover the pics are sharp, clear, and clean. There is an approximately 2" seam split at the top right corner of the front cover. There is an approximately 4" seam split at the bottom center of front and back covers where the sharp edge of the records cut through at the point of contact. The original inner paper sleeves are missing. I believe there was a poster originally enclosed with this album, if so, it is not there. There is the number "29" written lightly in the margin at the top left hand corner of front cover. The name "Phil Gibson" is written in small letters in red ink on the back cover in the margin at the lower left corner. The original owner filled in the point chart on the back cover in blue ink (see pics). That's all I see wrong, so email if you have any other questions. Thanks for your time! Nostalgia City
