......On offer here is again a very rare and most sought after LP in the history of the beatles, not quite the collectors holly grail, but still remains illusive to many but a must for any fanatical beatles fans and enthusiasts, again its title is 'Please Please Me' 1963 first ever *yellow and black * label UK *FIRST* pressing!!!! made in 1963 !! HOWEVER THIS IS ONE OF RAREST COPIES OF THIS LP YOU WILL EVER SEE !!!! IT IS A 100% GENIUNE 'Please Please Me' 1st pressing on the yellow and Black "MONO" label !!! - but the true rarity can be located on the lps labels, in 1963 the label style changed from the older style legendary gold and black label to the newer common style yellow and black labels, as you may be aware on all 1963 first issue gold and black stereo and mono labels a small 33 1/3 text printed in gold can be located to the middle left of the spindle hole, indicating the total revolutions per minute the vinyl spins, at the exact point of change to the newer style yellow and black labels,the tiny small 33 1/3 text should have been omited from the label and replaced with the new and much more common style label but with the text "33 1/3 rpm" now located in the upper middle section of the label in large bold silver text , but at the point of change the designers made one fatal error, on only a very small percentage of 1st press please please me yellow and black labeled lps the tiny small 33 1/3 text can be found but now printed in the new silver coloured text, so now the yellow and black labels had not only one but two 33 1/3 texts on the labels, this printing error was quickly rectified firstly WITHOUT the "recording first published 1963" text and then to the more common 4th pressing WITH the recording first published 1963 text ,although there are no records to determine the exact quantities of this rare lp it is thought to have been pressed in the high hundreds rather than thousands!!!This is a true rarity!!!!!!!

WITH the Parlophone Co. Ltd credit on the label edge (see pictures),WITH the (tiny)small EXTRA 33 1/3 text in silver print, but do NOT carry the 'Recording First Published 1963' credit. THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST BEATLES RECORDS YOU WILL EVER FIND UP FOR AUCTION!!!! Not only is this a first ever issue of the black and yellow label, but also comes complete with the original first issue emitex poly linned inner sleeve but also the original first issue "E.j day "large MONO outer 1ST ISSUE GOLD sleeve with the "angus mcbean" text much closer to the opening edge!!! please please me, PMC 1202, first issue black and yello mono label, with "the parlophone co ltd" rim text, NO "recording first published 1963" text, with the EXTRA SMALL "33 1/3" text, rare early *mt* tax code, run out groove codes XEX421-1N and XEX 422-1N, early mother stampers side 1 3 oclock "PM" and 9 oclock "1" side 2 3 oclock "GO" and 9 oclock "1/2" indicating first pressing on the yellow and black label !!!

VINYL VISUAL, has a high gloss shine as shown on the photo, with some whispy marks caused by the record being removed from the sleeve and some scuff/scratch marks, grade VERY GOOD MINUS!!!

AUDIO GRADE VERY GOOD , I can tell you within the play list of the whole lp, there are NO jumps, NO repeats,but there are some low level clicks and ticks in places but NO groove wear, 100% flat, NO warping, NO dishing, all tracks play with clarity and have NO loss of audio sound!!! There is medium staic/background noise in places but the majority has light /no low level static and sounds great, dead play areas mostly quiet with a little pop in places, but again nothing that overpowers the audio in anyway !!!!!!!!!!!

....... the OUTER is made by ernest j.day and is the much rarer mono gold first pressing sleeve , it is only in FAIR condition, does have heavy wear all over and is heavily sellotaped !!!!.......

the INNER sleeve is EMITEX opaque windowed poly lined inner and is only in good minus condition with light discolouration with one 3 inch edge split but NO writing !!
