Rare FIRST STATE STEREO butcher cover
Historically among the most sought-after Beatles collectibles is the original, censored cover of their 1966 US-only LP. This is a first state copy, meaning the original cover was not pasted over with the revised design. Stereo copies are especially rare as most copies released to the public and media were mono.
The shrinkwrap has been slit but is still present. Cover is in excellent condition apart from very slight discoloration on reverse side where the shrinkwrap has retracted and a hole formed along the seam. The record appears to be unplayed; vinyl is bright and label shows no spindle wear. This record has been in the seller's collection since 1972.
