BEATLES Vintage Soviet Russian Bootleg Single
The item proposed is a Soviet Russian vintage original bootleg EP “single”.
Such “singles” were recorded on primitive equipment all over the USSR on 1960-s – 1970-s.
As the “western” music was prohibited in the USSR but there existed a commercially payable growing interest to it, so there appeared small recording “studios” with such “records”.
The single proposed manufactured by “Anapskiy kombinat bytovogo obsluzhivaniya naseleniya”. The hardly translatable phrase kombinat bytovogo obsluzhivaniya naseleniya refers to organizations where in the USSR people can have services of cleaning, hair-dressing, photography, etc, and, yes, sound-recording. And Anapskiy means that this very combinat was located in Anapa, a well-known Soviet Black sea resort
The sound quality was awful but in this country it was one of not many ways to get closer to forbidden “West”.
The title written in Russian says the song is “The garden” by the Beatles, which most probably means “Octopus’s garden”
Manufactured in the USSR, late 1970-s.
Approx. size – 5 * 5 in.
Condition – good for collecting (not listening) purposes.
