BEATLES UK – WHITE ALBUM, ORIGINAL STEREO.

1968 PCS 7067/7068 -  APPLE RECORD LABELS.

A  UK FIRST EDITION TOP LOADING STEREO PRESSING WITH A UNIQUE SERIAL NUMBER OF ‘ No. 0404449 ’, featuring:

1. Side four of the record label features  the letters ‘ KT ’   embossed onto it, these letters usually appear very clear and bold, see photo.

2. Curious that sides one and two of the record label do not have the text  ‘An EMI recording’,  but  sides three and four of the labels  DO have  this text !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in  excellent condition, the double album gatefold sleeve is fully laminated and has remained  very clean and glossy.     On the front it has  an embossed Beatles logo and a unique individual SERIAL Number of   No. 0404449, this number appears clear and bold.  The four opening edges of the sleeve are in excellent condition, the corners of the sleeve have remainedsharp.   To the rear there is a small   ‘Stereo’ text printed proving this to be a genuine  STEREO sleeve.    The records are accessed from the top.   The spine is in excellent++ condition and has remained ‘white’  in colour and all the text is perfectly clear to read.   The sleeve features two visible flipbacks when the sleeve is opened, these flipbacks are all excellent and well stuck down.  When the sleeve is opened it is very  glossy, clean and tidy.     There are NO  splits, stains,  pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue.  An exceptionally clean  sleeve that has not been handled much at all.  On the inside of the sleeve  there is some laminate creasing, a factory mis press I think !.

THE INNER SLEEVES:  are the two original APPLE black inners and have NOT been  replaced.    One sleeve is in  near excellent condition  with  a small tear at the top (one side)  10mm to the opening edge   and one  slight side edge split.  The other sleeve is in  good+   condition,  it has some splitting to the edges and some creasing  and three small tears around the die cut hole,   a small piece of the sleeve is missing on one side on the opening edge.

THE POSTER: the original poster is in near excellent  condition. There is   some   slight/light age marks on the poster.   Theres NO pen writing, sellotape repairs / residue,   pin hole damage or blue tack residue,   tears,   stickers or sticker residue.

THE PHOTOS:  : are in  near very good  condition  and are the originals made from thick card.    There are  NO  tears, folds, sellotape residue,  blue tack residue, stickers or sticker residue. The photos show that they  have been mounted at some point as they have  pin holes in,  the photos of John and Paul have some fading and their name on the back in pen, the photo of George has some  slight staining at the bottom.

THE VINYL:  record one, side one is in near excellent condition, side two is in  excellent condition,  record two, side three is in very good+ condition  this would have been excellent but  for  a single  non feel able, non audible mark,  side four is in excellent condition.   The two records are made of the original ‘ thick and heavy ’ vinyl and are very, very clean dark and glossy and show little play.  

The matrix nos. are:     YEX   709 –  1,  YEX  710 - 1, YEX  711 - 1 and  YEX 712 - 1.    

The Mother/Stampers are:   ‘ 1     R  D  ’,    ‘ 3    R  T ’,   ‘ 5    T A  ’   and    ‘  2     G  D  R  ’.  

THE AUDIO:  on side one is very good, side two  is near excellent,  sides three and four is  excellent.  Each record lays flat on the turntable and plays  well with  NO sticking or jumps from  the needle.

THE LABELS:    are in  excellent+  condition and  show very little play.    As mentioned above,  label  four  has  the letters  ‘ K T ’ embossed onto them.  As this is a first press the labels feature the original  DARK green Apple colours.  All the labels show   the text  ‘Sold in the UK’ etc,  the George and Ringo songs are listed as ‘Apple Publishing’.  As mentioned above only sides three and four have the text  ‘An EMI Recording’.  Theres  NO pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

Packing - all records are sent out with multi layered card stiffeners.    All records will be removed from their  original inner and outer sleeves  to avoid any damage, the record will then be put into a second inner sleeve for maximum protection while in transit.

Discounts will be given on postage for multiple purchases.

In the UK  –  records  that sell for over the value of £41 will  be sent  ‘recorded delivery’ and there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post etc, therefore the post and packing charges may vary.
