BEATLES UK, Revolver, original 1966 UK mono LP.

PMC 7009, original 1966 UK black and yellow Parlophone record labels.

A UK mono album in original condition, featuring:

1. corrected 2/2 mono matrix,

2. there are no letters embossed around the spindle hole on the record labels, this is unusual as normally the letters ‘KT’ are found embossed around the spindle hole,

3. a more unusual sleeve made by, ‘E J Day’,

4. the record label on side two features the spelling of ‘Doctor’, but on the rear of the sleeve this track title appears as ‘Dr’,

5. the record label on side one features an ‘addition dot’, as it reads, ‘.U.K.’ etc,

6. comes with its original, ‘Patents applied for’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The sleeve is more unusual as it is made by the company of, ‘E J Day’. The spine is in very good++ condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original 1960s, ‘tri ‘flip back’ design, ie fold over edges. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. On the rear of the sleeve there are some slight signs of ageing.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original ‘Patents applied for’ inner sleeve. An excellent clean, white well preserved inner sleeve. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in near excellent condition. The record is made of the period 1960s, ‘thick heavy’ vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The matrix are: XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 – 2,

The mother / stampers are: ‘6 RLM’ and ‘4 RPD’,

THE AUDIO: side one plays very good++, it plays with some ‘crackle’. Side two also plays very good++, I did hear some light ‘ticks’ on the intro to track four but I cannot see any visible marks to the playing surface here, I also heard some ‘ticks’ at the end of track six and into track seven for a short period, side two plays with some ‘crackle’. The record plays with a full loud, powerful period mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent condition. There are no letters embossed around the spindle hole on the record labels, this is unusual as normally the letters ‘KT’ are found embossed around the spindle hole. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
