Description
BEATLES UK – Revolver LP, original Mono.
1966 PMC 7009 – original black and yellow Parlophone labels.
An early UK Mono pressing of this album in original condition, featuring:
1. a more unusual sleeve, as it is made by ‘E J Day’,
2. very early mother / stampers on side one, they are: ‘1 G T R’,
3. odd that on the record label on side two there is the spelling of ‘Doctor Robert’, but on the rear of the sleeve it is spelt ‘Dr’ !,
CONDITION:
THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The rear features the original tri-flipback design. The spine is in very good++ condition and most of the text is readable on the spine. There are NO tears, splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.
THE INNER SLEEVE: is in excellent condition and is the original EMI period black and white advertising sleeve. An excellent fresh, clean well preserved sleeve. There are NO splits, tears, stains, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
THE VINYL: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in excellent condition. It is made of the period thick, heavy vinyl, it has remained very clean, dark and glossy.
The matrix are: XEX 605 - 2 and XEX 606 – 2,
The Mother/Stampers are: side one are very early, ‘1 G T R’ and ‘7 G T H’,
THE AUDIO: side one plays very good, for the first two minutes it plays with some light crackle and light ticks here and there, I also heard some light ‘ticks’ towards the end of track seven on side one, side two plays with some light crackle at the beginning but soon clears where the rest of the audio is excellent. The record lays flat on the turntable.
THE LABELS: side one is in excellent++ condition, side two is in excellent+ condition, the best condition pair of labels I have seen for a long time. The letters ‘K T’ are embossed around the spindle hole on side one. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.
TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.
