You are bidding on the original Beatles Please Please me 1st UK press from 1963 MONO BLACK & GOLD PARLOPHONE Label PMC 1202 with Both labels bearing the incorrect 'Dick James Mus.co' publishing credits for: I saw her standing there/Misery/Ask me why/Please Please Me/Do you want to know a secret/There’s a place
Matrix numbers: XEX-421-1N/XEX-422-1N
Housed in a correct, 1st sleeve : front laminated tri-flipback 'Ernest.J. Day' printed mono cover with the 'Angus McBean' credit positioned in the extreme lower right corner.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner-sleeve.
CONDITION:
The record is graded as NEAR MINT. Absolutely stunning vinyl, the best we ever saw!!

Visual: VINYL: This well-looked after and carefuly played copy retains all its deep gloss shine on both surfaces.
Upon close inspection directly beneath a strong lamp i could see only a tiny almost invisible hairline at the end of side 1. Apart from this, it's a Stone Mint fine vinyl. This might very well one of the last few copies in such immaculate state.
Pressed on very thick vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no signs of dishing or warping.
Labels: GREAT LABEL ! Both label are free from any unwanted writings or sticker. No Touch-ups! Graded as EX to EX+.
Cover: Still nice & shiny with clean and vibrant front panel but some rounded wore corners and light wear on the opening edge. Due to the corners rubbings which is quite visible the whole condition is downgraded to VG+, would be better if not for these corners! There is NO writing or tears No cut-out, just some light creases and some imperfections on the backcover flipback lamination –
This is the very first Ernest J. Day cover with the 'Angus McBean' photo credit in the extreme lower right corner!
Innersleeve: original Emitex poly-lined innersleeve just in VG+ condition but still acceptable.
Audio: I guess you can imagine how wonderful such an LP sounds! CRISTAL CLEAR just as it sounded in 1963 & this copy has barely been played at all since then ! All tracks play without any background noise, crackle, groovewear distortion or any other significant or major audible wear.There are no clicks, pops, jumps, repeats any other audible faults anywhere. You will not be disappointed!
Simply said, this is THE Holy Grail of 60’s collectors! And this is certainly one of the nicer examples of an original 1st pressing you will have the chance to own. It's free from the usual "skating-rink" complection that most of these scarce records have, and the audio is still superb and powerful. You will wait a long, long time to find another copy in this kind of condition!
