BEATLES UK - PLEASE PLEASE ME - from 1969.

1969 PMC 1202 – BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABELS WITHOUT THE ‘SOLD IN UK’ TEXT ON.

A rare UK LP in 100% original condition, the last of the 1960s black and yellow labels on Parlophone that do not have the  line of text  ‘Sold in the UK’  etc on the labels.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE:  is in excellent condition, the front laminated sleeve has a small Mono logo on the front. The  tri-flipback sleeve to the rear is made by ‘Garrod and Lofthouse’.The ‘pinched’ top and bottom spine is in excellent condition and has remained white in colour and all the text is readable.  The rear of the sleeve has remained white and is very clean for its age.  There is NO pen writing, stickers, sticker residue, tears or stain on the sleeve.   There is some light pencil on the rear by the side of the some of the song listings, but this will rub off.

THE INNER SLEEVE:  is in excellent condition and is the original period EMI advertising sleeve.   There are NO  splits, pen writing, stickers, sticker residue, tears or stains on it.

THE VINYL:   is  in near excellent  condition,    it is made from the period, thick, heavy vinyl.  The vinyl is very clean, dark and glossy  and shows very little play.

The matrix  nos. are:   XEX  421 – 1N  and  XEX  422 – 2N,

The Mother/Stampers are:  ‘1  5      R H R ’   and   ‘ 6    R M ’.

THE AUDIO:  is excellent,  it  plays very well all the way through  giving a very clean powerful period mono sound.  The vinyl  lays flat  on the turntable and  plays with NO sticking  or jumps.

THE LABELS:   are in  excellent condition,   there are NO letters embossed around the  spindle hole.   As mentioned above the black and yellow labels  do not have the  line of text  ‘Sold in the UK’  etc on the labels.  There is  NO  pen writing, stickers, sticker residue, tears or stains on them.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE.
