Description

Prior to 1969 records distributed by the Capitol Record Club were not identified by a unique catalogue number.  At the end of 1968 Capitol Records sold their record club to the Longines Symphonette Company, who then manufactured Beatles record club product under license from Capitol.  From that point forward all Beatles record club albums could be identified by the '8' in the catalogue number.  Capitol record club black rainbow labels were only produced for a brief period before switching to the more common lime/green labels.  Therefore, record club issues on the Capitol rainbow labels are much rarer, especially in excellent condition.

The piece I am offering here of 'Something New' on the original Capitol rainbow label is a gorgeous example in Mint- condition.  Unfortunately, the pictures included do not adequately capture how clean both the record and album cover are.  The album cover is bright and crisp!

I purchased this album in 1981 at the Chicago Beatlesfest from a well known reputable dealer.

This is a piece that would fit nicely into the fold of a high-end Beatles collection.
