Description
I BOUGHT THIS FANTASTIC LP NEW IN 1967 AND LIKE THE REST OF MY VARIED COLLECTION HAS BEEN WELL LOOKED AFTER ALL OF ITS TIME WITH ME.UNPLAYED FOR THE LAST 35 YEARS I HAVE RELUCTANTLY DECIDED TO PART WITH MY COLLECTION.(WATCH MY EBAY FOR MORE FANTASTIC COLLECTORS PIECES IN THE NEAR FUTURE,MORE BEATLES,PINK FLOYD AND DAVID BOWIE ORIGINAL AND RARE DRESS COVER PLUS MANY MORE RARITIES)IT IS A PRIVELIGE TO BE ABLE TO OFFER TO THE MORE SERIOUS COLLECTOR THIS FINE EXAMPLE OF 60s NOSTALGIA.THE COVER,INNERS,LABELS AND RECORD ARE IN FANTASTIC CONDITION AND QUITE SIMPLY AN OUTSTANDING CHANCE FOR ANY SERIOUS COLLECTOR TO OWN A TOP QUALITY BEATLES LP IN STUNNING CONDITION. I HAVE ALWAYS HANDLED ALL MY LPs WITH UTMOST CARE NOT ONLY IN HANDLING BUT ALSO IN PLAYING.
On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition)by the BEATLES called 'Sgt Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band' and is a 1967 rare Mono 1st pressing.IT IS ALSO TOTALLY COMPLETE IN IT'S ORIGINAL ENTIRETY INCLUDING IT'S ORIGINAL CUT OUT INSERT,ORIGINAL LP COVER,GATEFOLD COVER (Printed and made by Garrod and Lofthouse) AND WHITE INNER. (All first pressings didn't neccassarily have the red and white psych cover due to it's lack of sturdiness, therefore some of the earlier 1st pressings had a white inner or in some cases none at all, making this one of the rarer 1st pressings) IT ALSO HAS THE EARLIER DARK GREEN CUT OUT INSERT !!!(Printed in England by Peter Blake and Jann Haworth) SOMETHING THAT ONLY THE VERY EARLIEST FIRST PRESSINGS HAD. INNER, AND COVER ARE ALL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!!!!This is an ORIGINAL RARE MONO pressing with the YELLOW AND BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL,Made in Great Britain and and the Gramophone Company text along the label edge. The LP is pressed in THICK quality vinyl as was the norm for it's era, matrix numbers are XEX 637-1 & 638-1.STAMPER CODES ON SIDE 1 ARE RLG-4 AND ON SIDE 2 ARE MAH-10 The catalogue matrix number is PMC7027 on the ORIGINAL yellow and black Parlophone label (see picture) and is a MONO pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Beatles at there very very best!!!! Any fan of the Beatles or 60s music in general will want to add this extremely collectable LP to his or her collection. The sleeve has no writing on it,the inner LP cover is in very good condition, the centre labels have some slight spindle marking, but these are only slight and dont detract from the overall quality of this astonishing LP.I would guess that this LP has only being played 20 times max in it's entire life and always with top notch cartridges, (either Ortofon or Shure) The vinyl is in stunning condition for it's age and like all Beatles LPs sounds better in the MONO version than in the stereo.I have played this LP before the start of auction to verify it's playing quality. The LP is in mint condition with no pops ,crackles or scratches. It will be difficult to find a better example of this incredible original LP. All in all this is a stunnning example of a highly collectable Beatles LP. HAVE A LOOK AT MY PHOTOS (EVEN THESE DO NOT JUSTICE TO THIS LP)There is nothing to hide in this auction, THIS WILL BE A VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE AN ORIGINAL EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE MONO VERSION, OF PROBABLY THE GREATEST GROUP OF THE LAST CENTURY, IF NOT OF ALL TIME.I will also be auctioning at a later date some similar rarities including more Beatles, Pink Floyd and the AWESOME David Bowie ''THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD'' (rare dress cover) WATCH THIS SPACE.
