BEATLES Ringo Starr Back Off Boogaloo BLUE APPLE LABELS WITH PICTURE SLEEVE NM!

Since George chose an orange Apple for his 1970 “All Things Must Pass” LP and John chose a white Apple for his “Plastic Ono Band” LP that same year, and since the green Granny Smith was Paul’s choice to begin with, Ringo decided he wanted a blue Apple for this 1972 release.  And his request was in fact, honored…for about an hour and 22 minutes.  Somebody must have been dissatisfied with the results, because this label variation quickly disappeared, barely ever to be seen again.  Well, here’s one.  Good luck!

Vinyl---beautiful near mint.  So close to store stock new, both sides under the bare bulb test.

Labels---one small nick on side 1, one giant leap for mankind.  See photos.

Picture Sleeve---this is a beautiful copy of the flat-textured sleeve.  The glossy sleeve was present when I purchased this 45, but it truly looks like someone sat on it in the NYC subway system and left it for dead.  If you want it instead, feel free to let me know.  Otherwise, this replacement sleeve has no splits, and a very slight outdent from the record label, both sides.  Otherwise, it looks like it did in the record bin at McCrory’s Dept. Store in 1972.

For the second time in two weeks, I’ve had a very high bid cancelled on my auctions. A third buyer who won her auction told me she was going to withhold payment for two days while she decided whether she wanted the LP.  All of these LP’s were in the triple digits. (Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl.  However, I am happy to by request.  As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
