UP FOR AUCTION FROM THE COLLECTION OF A FORMER CAPITOL RECORDS EMPLOYEE IS THE BEATLES "RARITIES" LP CAPITOL SPRO-8969 RARE PROMO LP!  Rare 1978 US 17-track promo only compilation LP. The U.S. Rarities (Capitol SPRO 8969), compiled in Los Angeles, contains two mistakes. For some unknown reason, Sie Liebt Dich and Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand were replaced with the not-too-rare English versions of She Loves You and I Want To Hold Your Hand. The album includes six pages of track by track song information.  LP comes in a plain white cardboard cover with a blue 'Rarities' insert sleeve. Dead wax in the trail-off groove contains the following: On both sides:"MASTERED BY CAPITOL" machine printed, "Wally" written in script. On Side 1 is the following:"SPRO-1-8969" and F1, on Side 2 is "SPRO-2-8969" and F-1.  THE GLOSSY VINYL IS IN EX+ CONDITION WITH A FEW LIGHT SLEEVE MARKS AND CLEAN LABELS. BOTH THE SIX PAGE INSERT AND INNER SLEEVE HAVE NOT TEARS. THIS IS THE ONLY COMPLETE COPY OF THIS ULTRA RARE VARIATION WE HAVE SEE.
