There is lots of fascinating and conflicting information out there about this Album, including when and who coined the phrase 'Loud Cut' (it wasn't the Record Company), why it was discontinued but not re-called, etc. but one thing is reasonably certain, and that is that this -1/-1 mono Pressing was rushed into production to make sure it was available for Christmas from the 3rd December 1965. I have found a number of these Albums for sale where the seller has stated that it suffers from heavy background noise on 'Michelle', which this Album also has.

RECORD

It plays all the way through on both sides without skipping or jumping and you can definitely hear the difference when compared to later issues. The Record has various scuff marks, needle/stylus scratches, many surface hairlines and as with 60's heavy weight Vinyl, it plays significantly better than it looks. If you are really interested I'm sure we can arrange a 'Listen Before You Buy', by visiting, maybe over the internet, telephone, etc.

LABELS

The Labels have no rips, stains or graffiti, the colours are still vibrant, particularly the Yellow which looks bright and fresh. They do have spindle marks and spindle wear

SLEEVE

The original Sleeve has no ring wear and is still strong with the colours being very good. The lamination is in pretty good shape and it has an embossed sticker from the original retailer. It has a slight seam split at the bottom right hand corner approx. 48mm which has been reinforced to prevent further deterioration. The spine is in pretty good shape and the back has mild staining.

INNER SLEEVE

The original EMITEX Inner Sleeve has no split seams or graffiti and even has it's Rice Paper Inner. It has discoloured over the years and there is a small tear near the window.

I sell to the Trade, other Collectors and mostly to people who are re-building their Vinyl collection. Please read my Feedback from my customers and buy with confidence.
