Description

This is the rare STEREO edition of the BEATLES debut album PLEASE PLEASE ME with the '33 1/3' and 'STEREO' text on the label. It is on the Black/Yellow PARLOPHONE label, cat# PCS 3042 (STEREO), Matrix YEX 94/95-1.

Publishing credit on 'PLEASE PLEASE ME', 'I SAW HER STANDING THERE', 'THERE'S A PLACE' and 'DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET' is Northern Songs.

The front-laminated G&L triple flipback cover is in a very Near Mint condition. The non-laminated back cover is still quite clean and white with no real blemishes - please STUDY THE PHOTOS. The labels are clean and sharp with minimal spindle-marking on the side 2 and a bit more side 1. The vinyl is a true Exc., with plenty of sheen and just a couple of light non-sounding 'paper' marks due to removal/replacement to inner and one 'hairline' mark side 1. This does not sound on my deck but MIGHT cause a quiet 'tick' or two on more sensitive equipment. That aside, the sound is just stunning, the high quality heavy vinyl used in those days capturing the raw power of the early beatles in a way that later re-issues just don't seem able to.
