Description
Original authentic "Please Please Me" b/w "From Me To You" Beatles Oldies 45 single from 1964. Spizer version OL 150.02. This one is legit with the clear registered trademark "R" above the "5" in the Oldies 45 logo and manufactured by Monarch Records. (I tried getting good focused photos of the "R" for the posting but it's tough to get photos that do the label justice). Most of the Beatles' Oldies 45 singles out there are fakes but this is the real deal. Oldies 45 was a Vee Jay Records oldie's label and was pretty short lived. Many many of these were counterfeited in the late 1960s and early 1970s so you have to know how to tell the difference b/w a real authentic copy and the fakes.
The runout writing is: 63-2967 'triangle' 46527 and 63-3218 'triangle' 47843 and "AudioMatrix" and "MR" (Monarch Records) logos on each side.
Visually Graded - I would grade the record somewhere between NM- and VG+ (closer to NM-). I use the grading standards of the "Beatles Price Guide For American Records" (2009) by Cox/Daniels. These grading standards tend to be more stringent than Goldmine. Using Goldmine, it probably would be NM-.
Label - slight wear but no stains,tears, or writing.
Vinyl - a few scattered hairlines and a few tiny scratches but you really gotta go looking for them as the record is very clean.
