Description

The Beatles ‘Please Please Me’ Original LP

Mono: Rare Black & Gold Label

Opportunity to acquire a rare piece of history…..

A very rare album indeed clearly confirmed by the stamper codes and martix - Side A - XEX-421-1N Stamper Code - H. Side B - XEX422

This is the Beatles’ first LP released by Parlophone, with the rare black and gold label, number PMC 1202.

This is the original release of the album in mono.

This album is believed to be one of the very first of the Black and Gold Monos to be pressed. Deeply pressed on thick vinyl.  The cover is manufactured by Ernest J Day.

The condition of the sleeve is not mint, but reasonable considering the age of this record. There is a brown mark on the front of the sleeve and a brown mark on the back. These have been caused by sellotape, and the effect of this can be clearly seen by the photographs. Also the sleeve has become unsealed slightly at the bottom on the back.  The Inner sleeve is ripped in two places and has some creases.

There are some slight surface scratches on the record itself and the writing on the label has faded slightly on Side 1, there is also a small amount of spindle wear.

Album Includes:

·                       Love Me Do

·                       Twist and Shout

·                       I Saw Her Standing There

This is your chance to purchase one of the rarest official Beatles albums, the stamper codes make this copy one of the first off the press.
