THE BEATLES -PLEASE PLEASE ME
Format - 12" Vinyl LP
Label/Cat.no. - Parlophone PMC1202
Year - 1963
Condition: The vinyl is somewhere between a strong G+ and VG. There are many marks on both sides of the vinyl, but nothing too serious, and it does play through with some crackle. The labels are the first yellow and black labels, unintentionally printed with an extra "33 1/3" beside the matrix number (not present in later pressings). Unfortunately, a previous owner has stuck a sticker over the top half of each label, obscuring that part of the side 1 label, although it is visible on side 2 (see pics). It is faintly visible on the side 1 label, but the sticker would need to be removed.
It looks like someone (not me) has begun to remove the stickers, with little success, and it looks like some damage may already have occurred. It would take someone with the right know-how, and a great deal of patience, to restore this, but perhaps it could be done?
There is no outer sleeve with this copy, but it shouldn't be too difficult to find one. It comes in a "Use Emitex" inner sleeve.
The matrices are XEX421-1N/XEX422-1N, and the stampers appear to read GA2/GM12, but they are a little unclear.
All in all, this is NOT an archive or final upgrade copy; it's a restoration project for someone.
