BEATLES I Want To Hold Your Hand 1968 "2nd" With Sold In The UK Text

I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and so I have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers.
I will only post completely insured and tracked.

On sale here is another incredibly rare BEATLES UK single variant. Another one of the very rarest UK 7"s! As well as all my other beatles rarities currently listed, here we have the unbelievably rare 1968 EMI pressing of I Want To Hold Your Hand, this includes the KT tax code (this in it's self,whilst a bit scarce, doesn't make this record incredibly rare),but also present is the "Sold In The UK Subject To Resale Price Conditions See Price Lists" text, and the font used for both the band name and the writing credits are printed in a font unused on any other copies, whereby the text is much wider spaced out. Believed to be released in late 1967 but more likely very early 1968. This was one of only a handful of copies of this record pressed after they had run out of the original run of printed labels (which they seemed to use right through (as one has even been found mis-matched on a 1 box 1970s reissue copy), but for this anomaly, but before the Retail Price Conditions were abolished in 1968. Only pressed to special order in incredibly limited quantities (most copies from this period were still using up existing labels in the old style). As an added oddity the blanks printed by Harrison and Sons used for this copy are older earlier ones, as the perimiter text is upper-case "Parlophone" text...! Very strange!


Surfaces are a beautiful EX condition, this record looks lovely in normal light, and just a few very light withdrawl hairlines when angled under strong direct halogen light, absolutely nothing significant, and the audio is superb. A real collectors piece this, a real investment,only a couple of these have ever come up for sale,be one of the lucky very few to fill this hole in your collection!
Audio is perfect! As you'd expect from a record looking like this! EX+ Labels are a superb EX also, really superb, only a very feint spindle trail on the A-side, perhaps 2 on the B-side, only really visible when angled into strong direct light! The only reason I don't give it EX+ is becase of a very small light dot (less than 1mm) about 1cm to the right of the song title "This Boy". Please observe photos. I can't tell if this is a rub, or a spot of something that might clean off but I'm not brave enough to rub at it, for fear of it being a rub that I might exhasibate! I'd leave that for the next owner to decide whether they have the courage or not! A really wonderful lustre, all-round.
