In 1981 a German pharmaceutica company had a strange idea. They used the “Beatles For Sale” LP for an advertisement campaign. An “additional” LP-jacket showing the BEATLES as Pillheads was created, with the slogan “Beatles For Sale mit (with) Cutistad”!
Inside of this extra slip-case cover, an ordinary copy of a 1980s edition of the album - complete with the regular LP-sleeve on a light green Odeon label - could be found. This package was designed as a give-away to happy business partners. Reportedly only 500 copies of these “outer” sleeves were printed and less then 200 copies were given away before the company was forced to stop it.
Rare chance to purchase such a strange and unique record. Don`t miss it out.
