Brief description of item
Ok beatles fans...
This is "BEATLES FOR SALE" with a matching 1/1 matrix & with an infamous label error...
You will probably be aware if you are looking at his already but...
What adds to the rarity and makes this a much rarer item is....ON SIDE 1 THE CREDITS AT THE BOTTOM HAVE A LABEL ERROR "worlld music" resulting in it being today in 2013 one of the earliest & rarest beatles mispressings ever to make it out of the factory.
I previously had this item listed, and had not noticed this major error myself. So have now re-listed it again with the correct updated information in this listing.
On the outer rims you have YEX 142 1/YEX 143 1. The Gramophone Co. LTD around the label rims. A 1964 press with STEREO on the front cover & made in GT. Britain on the labels.
Test played :
Tested on a "Technics 1200" "Ortofon stylus" and played LOUD!! Play & apperance is beautiful on both A & B sides. Free from any scratched marks, ingrained dust, needle thrashing, no pops, ticks, or skip-backs. A real standout vinyl here. No less than an excellent vinyl both in appearance & audio. Even under the very harsh unforgiving white halogen bulb you will stuggle to see any hairlines. The record & both labels have been scrutinised under extreme bright light before listing. A real gem with a very acceptable almost I would say factory fresh appearance & top audio to match. I could possibly grade this as higher. But will of course endeavour to be as realistic in the description as possible so as not to disappoint any new owner or over grade. Very clean & glossy record here with no damage in appearance, no warping of the disc. And NO distortion, NO crackle or signs of heavy use.
This for a record that's over 5 decades in age & counting is as pristine an example any vinyl lover could wish for.
So one of the best beatles records still available as an ORIGINAL. Also super rarity here with the infamous "WORLLD" music error.
I was going to record this entire L.P. And place it here to compliment the listing. But I don't even want to risk any damage, so just take my word for it, everything here is a very accurate & fitting description.
I sell a lot of vinyl & will always only offer what I consider to be the best (especially when it comes to this band's original release's). I have records that are of very good quality also worth listing. But these will appear much later on in my listings. So for now only the very best will be offered. This one came to me via a family member & fan of the group, who "didn't realise people still listened to vinyl" & "had not played this in years". Stored out of direct sunlight in a smoke free home. You can clearly see this from the photographs provided.
The gatefold cover :
The gated cover is free from any handwritten names on the front/back or inside. No real major negative issues to list. These are pretty flimsy in construction & easily aged or damaged. Note : There is one tiny tear at the back top left hand side of the cover. This could easily (if so desired) be repaired. I chose to leave it & the new owner can handle this if they like. A fully legible & Intact spine at the side. The cover has no loosening of glue. Also an intact "clarifoil" laminate. No ripping or ringwear, dust or dirt. There also is a slight part of shelf wear to the bottom, you can see this in these photographs, I'm not trying to hide anything. Please remember that when you view all parts of this item, it's over 50 years old!!! and these are extra large/close up photographs. Cover is now stored inside a brand new poly protective sleeve.
The original inner is also contained and in excellent shape, with no split or names etc. Very clean & fresh. No smell or damp or dust. Please note : I've also included a spare inner. The record is now stored inside this. It will help to avoid any split to this part. This will also be included in the package when posted, to prevent any possible damage.
The labels : labels on both sides free from any spindle wear. Inspected under extreme harsh halogen bulb as has the rest of the record. Very insignificant & small sign of wear around the centres. But absolutely no real serious issue here...This is a sure fire way of telling how much/less play this had. Please see for yourself with the extra large photographs available of the actual item.
Please scroll to the end of the description to view as some people sometimes miss this. This has had no party action & has not been taken out of it's original home in years. So no heavy handling, splitting or pre-owned handwritten names.
All parts are now stored inside a brand new polythene protector, record & inner outside of the main cover. Record in a spare white inner with a protective poly lined bag.
Any questions? I will reply as fast as possible & do my best to answer anything not listed here that you might want to know before bidding.
Thanks.

>> Grading of Items All items are graded conservatively according to Record Collectors Grading System Record Collectors Grading system
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
