1964 1st UK STEREO PRESSING LP ON THE
YELLOW & BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL

Machine Stamped Matrix Numbers
this has the rare 142 corrected matrix on Side 1
i.e. it was originally incorrectly given a 141 matrix number
but the number '1' has been over-written with a '2'

Cover: 1st pressing gatefold STEREO cover - laminated outside and unlaminated inside. Has the upper and lower flip-backs inside on the right. No writings, doodles or seam splits. Clear readable 1st pressing 'pinched' spine. Some light edge/corner wear. Rates as Near Excellent - especially for 50 years old - see photos.
Inner Sleeve: Emitex poly-lined inner sleeve is Excellent+.
Labels: Excellent+ - no writings, doodles or stickers. Has the 1st pressing "The Parlophone Co. Ltd..." text around the label and the 'Sold in UK' text. KT tax code on the Side 1 label.
Vinyl: Not play tested. The vinyl still retains quite a nice sheen. Side 1 looks VG and Side looks VG(-). Both sides have a few hairline scratches but nothing deep. Will probably have some light crackle & pop. Used but not abused condition.

Gradings.......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
