BEATLES VS. THE FOUR SEASONS Rare VEE JAY Stereo DXS 30 CLEAN SCORECARD MR PRESS
Artist: The Beatles vs. The Four Seasons Title: The International Battle of the Century
This 2LP set is one of the rarest Beatles LP's in existence. It is estimated that only 750 STEREO versions of this 2LP were produced with very few left in existence today. Due to a legal battle with Capitol Records in 1963 Vee Jay lost the rights to The Beatles songs in 1964. To capitalize on The Beatles before losing the rights, Vee Jay quickly repackaged "Introducing the Beatles" records into two new record covers; Songs, Pictures and Stories, and The Beatles Vs. The Four Seasons 2LP set. This gave them the ability to get rid of the overstock records they had but packaged as a new item for consumers.
The Beatles Vs. the Four Seasons is a 2LP set consisting of a Version 2 Stereo Copy of Introducing the Beatles VJLP 1062 as well as the Golden Hits of the Four Seasons VJLP 1065. The back cover has a scorecard on which fans could rate which group was better. Stereo versions of this Double LP are extremely rare.

Basic Vinyl / Cover Grading Explanation: Grading is usually done visually.
NM No scratches, no scuff marks, no label wear. VG+ Has some signs of wear, light surface scratches and/or scuff marks, label may have light ring wear. Records graded as VG+ should play without any sound defects (pops, skips, etc.) Cover and picture sleeves may have light ring wear or a small seam split. VG Vinyl will have more noticeable scratches and/or scuffs and sound quality may diminish. There may be pops or cracks and/or light skips but record should still play through and be of very good listening quality. Label may have noticeable wear, writing or tape. Covers and picture sleeves may have more pronounced ring wear and larger seam splits. G Vinyl is not a collector's piece but will still play through. There will probably be background noise and noticeable skips. Covers and picture sleeves will be in usable condition but there will probably be large seam splits and/or significant amount of writing.***See record description for more detail on condition of this particular item.
