Description

Beatles Awesome STEREO 3rd State Butcher Cover
Please read entire description/auction terms prior to bidding on this item. Thank You
If you've been looking for a genuine and authentic 3rd State (peeled) Stereo Butcher Cover of a higher grade that you will be proud to display, then this might be for you ! These STEREO jackets are at least five times as rare as their mono counterparts but some say 10 times as rare. At any rate, mono was still the more produced designation in 1966 as far as Beatles records go. Please view the photos and compare with other peels on the web in this price range.
Unlike most offerings on the net (see details below in the condition section) , this is a better than average jacket that is free of serious seam splits etc. The back is also very clean with only very minor evidence of aging, spotting etc. These correctly peeled STEREO jackets are much harder to come by in such displayable condition.
Although it is sad each week to see more and more recently poorly peeled covers go up for sale, the good news is that jackets such as this that present well with a framable Trunk Slick are only increasing in value as more and more get destroyed each week by amateur peel attempts.
Please read the jacket description below for specific details on condition.
Look around and compare. Peeled stereo jackets of this quality only show up once in a while. Please check our positive feedback for customer satisfaction of past sales of genuine Butcher Covers. Also look at realized prices of completed auctions and compare.
While the market is currently getting flooded with overhyped/over-graded peels with large obvious large scars/damage/paper residue etc, the good news for buyers is that this is one of the better examples out there of a Scranton Stereo Peel.
This item will be safely and securely double boxed and shipped to you via Priority Mail.
Please read complete description and view photos carefully prior to bidding.
Condition:
Front of Jacket:

Front Peeled Butcher Slick is awesome and presents nicely from a professional peeling process. Capitol glue lines from the trunk adhesive process are light and don't interfere or overpower the overall look of this peel. The only minor issue with the front is some light age spotting on the top white border.
Please see photos to verify the specific conditions described and feel free to contact with questions.

Seams:
Top and Bottom seams are both complete. There is a slight tiny check crack near the left side of the bottom seam which is only mentioned here for accuracy. To protect the integrity of the seams and avoid future damage, a record should never be placed or stored in this jacket. This album jacket is nearly 60 years old and should be protected accordingly.
Spine:
Spine also complete with all printing legible with two tiny inconsequential check type cracks near the bottom of the spine near the catalog number. (See Spine photos).
Back Of Jacket:
The back of the jacket every clean with only the slightest hints of aging/stains. (See photo of back)
Trunk Slick:
Removed trunk slick is included in framable condition as shown with some minor wrinkling wear and tear from the peeling process.
Record/Inner Sleeve
Comes complete with STEREO East Coast mono pressing in VG+ visual condition (many typical visible sleeve scratches but nothing deep). Has been played on an Audio Technica AT- LP120XBT turntable and plays through without any major trouble or disturbances. Correct East Coast Goldenrod CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE with this record that is decent but displays a typical bottom split of a few inches . Record will come in an archival quality anti static sleeve.
Terms Of Auction/Shipping:
Due to recent inflation and subsequent increases in actual USPS shipping costs, Buyer pays $39.99 for properly packed double boxed priority shipping with tracking. Shipping of such a high value, large package with significant weigh is costly and labor intensive and will likely be more that what is being charged here. Regardless, the cost to you will be capped at $39.99. Bidders with low feedback or new accounts must contact us prior to bidding on this item. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids at any time. Due to the exceptional cost and labor involved in shipping this item, this is being sold "AS IS" and there are No Returns on this purchase. Please review all photos and descriptions and please contact with questions prior to bidding. This item has been through a laborious process from the 2nd state to what you see here, and as such, the grading is unique on this item. This cannot be graded like a comic book or a baseball card due to the fact that this jacket has twice been altered from its original state, once by the paste over process at the Capitol Factory and likewise by the peeling process. Any minor imperfections are from either process. The photos speak for themselves and we do our best to accurately grade these historic artifacts.
Thank You !
