Original, Authentic Gala Premiere Performance Admission Ticket!
On offer here is a truly special, unique Beatles collectors item! This is an original, authentic 1965 admission ticket for the gala premiere performance of the Beatles movie 'Help!' at the State Theatre, Albuquerque NM.
In America the movie Help was released on Wednesday August 25th, 1965. However, a small number of theatres around the country appeared to have held a premiere of the movie before the official release date. The State Theatre in Albuquerque NM seems to be one of these theatres, advertising a gala premiere performance of the movie in the newspaper, the 'Albuquerque Journal' for one showing only on August 24th, ticket price $1.
The State Theatre in Albuquerque, according to CinemaTreasures, had just one screen and 900 seats. Therefore it can be assumed that just 900 tickets for this premiere performance were ever printed and sold. This auction is for one of those original 900 tickets! The ticket is stamped with the number 0502.
I got in touch with Perry Cox to ask for his thoughts on the ticket. He came back to me and said that, based on the photos of the ticket I had shown him, he believed the ticket to be genuine and authentic. He said that it does appear to be an original advance movie ticket from 1965 for the movie Help and that it also appears to be one of the very rare ones out there.
I have taken a photo of the front and back of the ticket to show its overall condition and then placed it in a simple frame. The ticket has been framed along with a high quality digital copy of the original advert that ran in the Albuquerque Journal that promoted the premiere performance of Help that this ticket was for!

Original premiere tickets to the Beatles movies are impossible to find these days as only a limited number were ever sold back in the day, and most were thrown out afterwards. Here's your chance to pick up a true gem!
