The Beatles - ‘Rubber Soul’. PMC 1267
The Beatles 1965 UK MONO pressing of the ‘Rubber Soul’ LP. Released on the 3rd December 1965, this is the desirable XEX 579-5 / XEX 580-5 matrix version. It is widely regarded as the greatest sounding issue of Rubber Soul and is one of the rarer issues to find (4/4 is the most common).
Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label both sides feature the ’Sold in UK….’ text and have ‘The Gramophone Co.Ltd’ rim print. The ‘KT’ tax code is embossed on the side one label. The vinyl is housed within the original ‘Patents Pending’ mono cover.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: XEX 579-5 1 RL
Side 2: XEX 580-5 2 RL
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition on side one and EXCELLENT- condition on side two.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition.
