Description
Up for grabs is a hard to find Australian pressing of the Beach Boys "Friends" lp. This was the 14th studio album by the Beach Boys, released in 1968. This particular version was released in Australia under the obscure World Record Club label (#WRC s/4784), with unique Australia only artwork. Also unique to the Aussie version is that song 5 on side 2 ("Diamond Head") is replaced by "Good Vibrations", an earlier hit for the group.
The cover is (VG++). Aside from very light ring marks on the back, cover is in great shape. The orange on the front fades to yellow towards the left edge of the sleeve...not sure if it's meant to be like that or whether it's faded?
The vinyl is (Ex). Barely noticable sleeve scuffs, clean and glossy.
Labels are both (Ex+). Clean and bright.
A hard to find oddity for any Beach Boys or 60's pop collector!
Can be picked up from Mt Martha, Vic, or will post Aus wide in a cardboard record mailer and padded bag for $9.00 flat rate. Registered post available for an extra $3.05. Thanks for looking, good luck!
