Description
The London studio group (Basil Kirchin and John Coleman) - Abstractions of the industrial north
Original First UK press (white\red\blue label), De Wolfe DW/LP 2973 (1966)
Certainly the holy grail of the whole De Wolfe 10inches series and probably the best record by the English genius Basil Kirchin. Top British musicians involved including Tubby hayes at the Tenor Sax\Flute and a young Jimmy Page at the Guitar.
Amazing mood music moving from top British jazz to melancholy pastoral themes, from soft beat to industrial atmospheres. The whole record is just incredible: the mood Harpsicord intro of "Prelude and Dawn - the experiencer" exploding into an epic modal jazz theme Tenor Sax led. The superb British hip jazz of "Neutral Background" with amazing Vibes playing. The evocative sad jazz of "The Observer", the industrial modal jazz of "Packing, printing & light assembly" and so on... Listen!
Record has also reissued by Trunk records, and immediatly sold out; Here you have the original 1st press!
