Item Description:
BADFINGER: 'Straight Up' LP
Apple SW-3387 LP, made in US, 1971. Album is play graded.
Record: VG+, with one superficial scratch and a couple of extremely light scuffs. Would benefit from a cleaning with a record-vac or other similar cleaning system. No other signs of wear; no warps, skips or other visible defects. Labels have no spindle marks.
Cover: VG+, with fairly heavy ring wear, light wear on the bottom edge, the start of a split at the bottom of the opening edge and lightly bent/worn corners.
This is a copy of Badfinger's 1971 album 'Straight Up'. Pretty much their best album, with lots of fine material like; "Perfection", "Day After Day", "Suitcase" and "Sweet Tuesday Morning".
This copy is an original 1971 US Apple issue with "LH" and Sterling (mastering) in the run-off wax. A nice copy of a classic LP.
Free shipping included in the price (a $4 value).
Discount pricing is available for multiple purchases that are shipped together. Please ask for details prior to bidding.
A NOTE ABOUT GRADING
All records are graded using the 'Goldmine' grading system, applied conservatively. Grading is as follows:
M = MINT. Absolutely perfect in every way - never played. I rarely use this grade.
NM = NEAR MINT. A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. The LP jacket should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other signs of use. The same should be true of inserts, lyric sheets, posters, etc.
NM- = NEAR MINT MINUS. This is a grade of my own devising. The record will show signs that it was played, but rarely. Record surfaces may have very light needle trails or very light scuffs, but NO scratches or warps. The LP jacket may have very light wear, but NO cut-out holes, cut corners or saw cuts.
VG+ = VERY GOOD PLUS. The record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner(s) who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show slight signs of wear and may have slight warps, slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't significantly affect the listening experience. The LP jacket may have some signs of wear and may be marred by a cut-out hole/cut corner/saw cut..
VG = VERY GOOD. Many of the condition issues found on a VG+ record will be more pronounced on a VG record. Some surface noise will be evident upon playing. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to be felt with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. LP jackets may have writing, tape or stickers/labels/tags. Other signs of wear may also be evident.
VG- = VERY GOOD MINUS. Similar to a VG record, but with more obvious condition issues. Surface noise from light scratches or groove wear will be present, but the record will not have skips. LP jackets will have multiple signs of wear. Not collectible, but may serve as a play copy.
