THE VINYL   MINT-   INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized 2nd 2U SILVER LABEL 1976 PRESS- Stored from new this LP has seen possibly a COUPLE of VERY CAREFUL plays only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere. THE VINYL REALLY IS CLOSE TO MINT.

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

a couple of light spider lines around the centre hole, and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

SURPLUS WAX AROUND THE CENTRE HOLE!!

There is barely a hint of any whisp lines and thats it-  nothing else!  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves....some light static in a few spots during play..but overall this is easily as clean a copy as we have heard.

A very rare record to see at all these days..

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

THE SLEEVE     EX+  RARE TO SEE AT ALL!

Correct SILVER FOILED EMBOSSED GATEFOLD UK issued sleeve  - with BLACK INNER

PRINTER CREDITS -  NONE

As you may know, this sleeve is a nightmare to keep in any condition. And on the rare occasion we see one it is normally always worn, white scuffed, scuffed or worse, 'rippled' on the front and back lifting the silver off the sleeve.  Also many have the black inks scuffed too.

so all things considered here- This example is in simply incredible condition, quite amazing how it has survived so clean. (we would not take a poor sleeve at all, no matter how rare the LP is)

So grading is according to the rarity of findign this sleeve in any condition..normally this we feel would be EX..but so rare like this it deserves to be considered higher.

Obviously there are the odd anomoloy of light rub and a few tiny light hairlines on the sleeve, after all the foiled finish will show up the tiniest defect. BUT..this is a cracking sleeve and is really quite superb

No rub on the black inks or the white foxes for starters. And the embossing is all superb

Just the lightest of  ringwear on the back panel & no white rubbing anywhere

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -like brand new.

The spine is super wide and just a couple of tiny little dinks. And a couple of spider lines running over the spine onto the front and back sleeve.

Original HMV sticker on the front too -nice!

THE GATEFOLD DOES NOT FALL FLAT AT ALL (see pic)

A few tiny little indent spots on the back top left (see pic)

the open out of the gatefold is absolutely like new ..totally pristine

WE CANNOT SAY MORE THAN THIS REALLY IS A CRACKER, AND WE DOUBT THERE'LL BE A BETTER ONE OUT THERE FOR A LONG TIME..One of 'the' hardest LPs to get right!
