Description

A great opportunity to buy a RARE VINYL LP from the 70's by Babe Ruth called "First Base".

This is an ORIGINAL U.K. pressing released in 1972 on the Harvest label (SHSP 4022). It has a total of 6 tracks (see photos for track listings).

The matrix numbers are:- SHSP 4022 A-1 (side 1) and SHSP 4022 B-1 (side 2).

The vinyl is in a lovely, clean and shiny NEAR-MINT condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there is little to indicate the record has been played more than once or twice. Any fine hairline surface marks found, could well have been caused by the inner sleeve. There are only one or two very faint spindle marks on the centre of the labels, but these are only noticeable when tilted towards the light. I have played the whole of both sides and they play fine and sound great.

The labels are completely clean and free from any writing or major defects.

The record is perfectly flat and has no warps of any description.

The record is housed within a company LP advertising inner sleeve in an EXCELLENT condition.

Please note that some copies of this LP had a lyric insert, but this copy does not. 

The unlaminated picture cover is in an EXCELLENT condition. There is some very minor shelf wear at the corners, but the edges and spine are still strong. The text on the spine is still legible. The back cover is fine and there is little to report on.
