Description
Manufactured and released by the Gramophone Company Of India Ltd record label, in conjunction with the EMI HMV record label, catalogue number ECLP 5740, in 1981, this record was released to commemorate 25 years of B R Films - one of the leading Bollywood film production Companies. The record contains a total of 12 songs, taken from the original film soundtracks, from a selection of B R Films released from 1956 through to 1981. It features vocal performances by well known Bollywood singers such as Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosie and Mahendra Kapoor amongst others. I cannot stress enough how good a condition this record is in - the vinyl on both sides of the record looks in perfect, as new condition. Both sides of the record play perfectly without any jumps, skips or crackle giving a great sound. The labels on both sides of the record are in perfect, as new condition.
The record comes packaged in it's original paper sleeve advertising other artist's album releases from the time.
The album sleeve is generally in good condition with no damage showing to the corners or down the spine. It is nice and clean on the rear but as this sleeve wasn't laminated when produced/printed, and so is just plain card, it does appear a little "dusty" on the front with some light scuff marks visible.
As mentioned, the record is in absolutely perfect, as new condition and i can honestly say anybody looking to own a copy of this album would struggle to find another one in better condition.
