Art Blakey (with Clifford Brown, Lou Donaldson, Horace Silver, Curly Russell) A NIGHT AT BIRDLAND, Volume 1. Blue Note 1521, recorded 1954. Deep groove mono. RVG hand cut and ear stamped into the wax. 63d Street address on both labels. Jacket is NM-: very very clean, with a Sam Goody price sicker in lower corner of the back. Includes art catalog inner sleeve. Disc looks perfect and plays perfect as well: NM. (There actually is a pop for 3 rev.s in Blakey’s announcement of Brownie on A-2.)
