Description

I grew up in LA and was fortunate enough to have been into punk from '81 to '86-ish when shows were really wild, police were out of hand, and everything still had a very fresh, raw energy. I have a ton of records from back then – a lot of them original pressings. Generally I'd buy an album, record it to cassette, and then listen to the cassette to limit wear and tear on the vinyl, so most of what I have is in very good shape.
This specific 12" EP is one that I must have bought used, because I tended to take good care of my albums, and the cover of this one is in rough shape. The cover has a small hole cut out of the lower right corner, there's lots of wear along the edges, and there's a crease on the back in the upper right corner. The inner sleeve is yellowed with age and has a large tear in it. The good new is, the vinyl itself is in very good condition: no scratches, scuffs or defects that would affect play.
The Angry Samoans were a goofy band from the San Fernando Valley that often played with fellow valley bands the Dickies and Fear. Lead singer/guitarist Metal Mike tended to piss some people off with his obnoxious and/or politically incorrect lyrics.

That last song was about Rodney Bingenheimer, whose show "Rodney on the ROQ" on Sunday nights on KROQ was the only place on the air where you could hear punk bands (I used to record the shows to cassette), but he wouldn't play the Angry Samoans, and Metal Mike got mad.
