Description

This is Blue Note BLP 4217, Andrew Hill Compulsion, a blue and white microgroove, New York USA label original mono issue with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The session features John Gilmore, Freddie Hubbard, Cecil McBee, Richard Davis and Joe Chambers. The record is in VG++ condition showing only small paper sleeve scuffs and almost no other signs of use. It plays quietly throughout. The original labels are perfect. The original cover (and original inner sleeve) is near mint as well with only a slight bump on the lower right, and an Audition Copy stamp on the back. A superb copy of this collectible original issue with no reserve. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
