The Sacred Bones label first teamed with David Lynch earlier this year, when the iconic filmmaker remixed Zola Jesus' "In Your Nature" for a 7" single. And now it's been confirmed that the label's previously mentioned reissue of Lynch's 1977 surrealist horror classic, Eraserhead, will be out August 6. (via FACT)

The dark, industrial soundtrack, composed by Lynch and Alan R. Splet, will be released in a limited edition of 1,500, including a digital download, 16-page book, and three 11" prints. It also comes with a 7" single of the film's original pop track, Peter Ivers' "In Heaven", which is backed by a newfound recording, "Pete's Boogie", mixed by Lynch. That's the artwork, above.

"When Sacred Bones collectively closes its eyes, this is the music we hear," the label told us. "We couldn't be more proud to present this masterpiece."
