There are pieces of music in any music lover or audiophile's life that helplessly leave one wasted.
Transported in the listening, it cannot be helped…the grip on your listening chair is not noticed, the absorption of all your senses gladly given, the feel of it all, when silence finally comes, that of a great fire having gone out.
Such are the effects of the record before you.
Yes, the people at hi-fi company, Linn Products, in Sweden, felt this very Decca performance of Katchen's to be among their absolute favorites, and so, they approached Decca, asked for the tapes, went about re-cutting a record utilizing only the very latest, finest cutting gear.
The end result, oh yes, has the shimmer of a lightning bolt from Zeus, the stamp of "everlasting" cast upon it, so alive is it, and natural, in its sounding.
No limiting, no eq, nothing but artists at the ready, together delivering what is so much larger and gracious that any one of them could bring…then gathered again, twenty years later by music lovers who heard the call.
A beautiful audiophile enterprise, among the very, very best, jacket without major fault, record within will play near mint.
To be treasured. (I believe this is the original, with the Proprius type label, from Sweden.)

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
