AUTHENTIC 45 GOLD RECORD BY THE SPINNERS #2904 I’LL BE AROUND. I’ve done research on this record and was told it that it is not a reproduction. Mounted in gold frame with brown background measuring 11 by 14 glass frame. Cardboard backing shows minor creases. Record and label appears to be in very good + condition with minor spots on the left side of the record. Front inscription has Atlantic Records logo. Under logo it states “ PRESENTED TO WIBG RADIO Sincere appreciation for your contribution towards the sales of more than one million records, “I’ll be around” – the Spinners”. These gold record awards were sometimes given by the label to the radio station itself, in most cases to the DJ who broke the record. WIBG radio was a local Philadelphia 50’s and 60’s rock n roll station, 99 on the dial, home of DJ, Hi Lit, Joe Nigeria. Any questions on this great item I can be e-mailed.
