Loaded was the second album by the Norwegian band Aunt Mary. It's a clear improvement from their S/T debut. Although the debut album is quite OK too Loaded is far stronger as a totality. Especially the B-side of this album kicks ass. Those three tracks are the biggest highlights of this very solid record. The A-side is more loose and inconsistent but it's good as well. For example the opener "Playthings of the Wind" is a fantastic song.
Loaded deserves four stars if you ask me. It's far better than it's predecessor and especially the second side includes some magnificent progressive rock material. However their third album Janus might still be my personal favourite of their three studio albums.
